The Networked Society is Ericsson’s new communication concept that highlights humanity’s ability to harness the power of our increasing connectivity to empower change in society.
This inspirational film was produced to promote this concept and bring it to life, capturing the audience’s imagination by emotionalising the crucial role that Ericsson plays in all aspects of life.
The film introduces the potential of the Networked Society and how it can benefit humanity in transforming people’s lives for the better – fundamentally changing how we relate to each other, creating opportunities for innovation, improving infrastructure and taking healthcare to developed parts of the world.
Shot in Barcelona, Cape Town and Bangkok this epic film took 6 months to produce from conception to final delivery. The film was shot on RED MX to retain the highest possible resolution, and the VFX was designed and created by The Mill.
The film was launched across 180 countries on May 16th 2011, and a 30 second version aired on CNN in June 2011.
